Just Googled this as thinking of a wee chamber for staters. Need to do a design, but I plan to use a computer fan to act as a stir plate and also to circulate the air. Need a really low powered heater. Give me something to think about at work!!!!

Hey Bigjas, thanks I think you're right. Having been messing around with pumps, PIDs and the like - I'm thinking that the 'nice to have' gadgets are more bother than they're worth. A good old fashioned mill... surely you can't go wrong!!!

Recommend Avocet ABS. Quite pricey but Snap proof. It's alarming how quick a scumbag can gain entry with "normal" lock. 30 secs with a pair on mole grips!!!! Grrrr...... Scum Bags!!!!

I've always used half a tablet in 20L. I understand that the chemical reaction (removing the chloromides) happens instantly on adding the crushed tablet. I leave my two water cooler bottles (18l each) in my study for a few days to get them up to room temp. Save time and electricity on brew day.

Thanks for the responses. The C13 sockets will be for 12v pumps. Not an ideal connection but small and neat. Great point about the PWM going after the switch and lamp... otherwise a dim lamp!!! The button shown to the immediate right of the 12v supply will be an NC ESB. I'll revise...
