The bottle capper is a life saver! Ive started picking up bottles from my local and to start with was only taking the 500ml ones but am now quite liking the smaller ones for tasters when im getting inpatient lol

I hadn't thought about doing this with a lager kit. I had just presumed a wheat kit would do the trick... Im definitely going to be trying this with different fruits. The Belgian Monk in Norwich has a really good apple beer. Got to find something close to that!

Found this stuff in Tesco this morning... Will be my first non kit brew! Will have to get the Vimto or Ribena cider on the go if this works out ok (thanks to Marrsy for the recipes).

Hi. Complete newbie to this brewing game. I bottled my cider made from a kit today (Muntons Premium Gold Autumn Blush) and decided to take a cheeky sip... Turns out it's very bitter and not anywhere near as sweet as it smells. Is this normal? I know it will improve the longer I leave it in...
