    Coopers Cerveza Review

I've also just cracked open my first few bottles of this. Has been bottled for a month, and was sat in the FV for around a month before bottling. Tastes amazing! A really light drink, that goes down FAR too easily  Its similar to the likes of Sol and Corona, but wouldnt say it tastes...

    leaking barrel

Mine is also doing the same :( had to put a bucket under it to catch the drips. Luckily its a cheap bitter kit that Im not too bothered about so I'll let it leak for now and drink whats left. Then I'll replace the tap once the barrel is empty

    Lager Kits

My youngs kit also started at around 1036. Think mine dropped a little lower tho as it ended up just over 3%, which I was bit disappointed with. Tasted very thin and not very "lager" like. Was my first kit tho so I think it may be that I didnt mix it all up well enough to begin with

    "Desperados" style lager

Desparados is 5.9%, and I'm sure it only contains tequila flavouring, not actual tequila. That may be wrong but I'm sure I read it somewhere. As for the taste, I enjoy one or two, but I was out the other week and ended up having a fair few and I could taste it for the entire day afterwards. Oh...

    best kit result coopers european.

What were the last two kits mate? I put a coopers cerveza on last week and my trial jar sample earlier already tastes better than the Geordie Lager I've had bottled for nearly 4 weeks. Not sure weather I ballsed up the Geordie kit, or the coopers one is a lot better quality

    bitter for a lager drinker

I'd like to know the same too. I've always drank lager, but since I've started brewing I'm tryin to broaden my horizons. Been drinking Bagers Hoppy Hare, and Fursty Ferret over the weekend, and would love to try and make something similar

    First ever batch of Lager

I bottled the same kit on Thursday night. Had a little taste but couldn't of drunk much of it how it was, just hope it improves Was yours quite pale when you bottled it? Mine was almost clear, looked a bit watery. Hope I've not balls'd it up

    Turbo cider question

I started my first TC on Friday night, SG was 1046, just tested it and is currently sat at 1002. Only thing is, it had bit of a weird smell to it. Almost like a rotten egg type of smell. Is this normal? I tasted the sample in the trial jar and it tasted fine?

    Finings question

Right my Geordie kit is comin close to being ready to bottle, so was just wondering wether it's worth puttin a packet of finings in for the last few days in the FV?

    Quick hello

Damn auto correct on the iPad lol! Cheers for the advise. In the end I decided to ferment in the corner of the kitchen which stays much warmer. Been on since Friday night now and the airlock seems to be bubbling away nicely...lovely smell out the top too :)

    Quick hello

Hi folks, I'm James, 26, from stoke on Trent. Did a brew quite a few years ago but now I'd thought I'd give it another go, and get properly into it. Bought a new FV, hydrometer, thermometer, symphony tube, spoon, and sterilisation stuff, along with a geordie lager kit. Lookin to get it on the...
