    ph strips?

    Hello all. I purchased some ph strips to test the ph if my water and wort after mashing, they worked fine for testing my water but because I have used black malt in my mash the wort has just dyed the paper brown, any ideas on how I can test the ph of my wort? Thanks john

    norfolk water

    Hello everybody, I was wondering if there was any fellow Norfolk brewers on here that preform water treatment and if so what steps do you take? As our water is pretty 'flavorful' I have found that it has tainted a few of my pale ales, has anyone else had the same problem? Thanks john

    hello all, I've just got back from my local homebrew shop and after a brief discussion about a slight off taste that occurring in my brews, I was recommend sodium met to use instead of vwp. the owner told me to dissolve 1tsp per pint to sanitize and I don't need to rinse out after. is all...

    thicker mouth feel??

    hello all, I've been make this recipe; 5.5kg vienna malt 500g special b malt 500g Belgium malt 100g saaz hops for a while but and it makes a really nice brown ale but I would like it to have a fuller/thinker mouth feel. any ideas on what I could add to achieve this? thanks john.
