How about flip top 'Grolsch' type bottles? Expensive overkill?

Where's the smug grin smiley? I picked and froze about ten pounds of them :D

I know that traditionally the bines are cut from the wires and laid out but if you just pick the hops and leave the plant will it die off and shoot again from the base or will the same bine leaf and flower the next year?

Got bugs too though. Something's gnawing at the lower leaves.

I stared at the title to this thread for three hours but nothing happened.

Hops grow wild around here (East Herts) and I've always wondered if they're worth harvesting. This year they've invaded my garden and I was going to cut them back but if anyone doesn't mind a surprise and fancies using them I'll let them grow. These plus some from a couple of other sites I know...
