Presuming I dont prime it, can it be stored in wine bottles or am I better off sticking to plastic bottles?

Having retrieved my serious and helpful head form the bin.

If Im bottling I treat it like beers, prime with sugar and bottle either in PET or pint bottles .

I dont see why not as long as they will blow off in the event that you get a secondary ferment, and they are nice and sanitised.

It's worth noting that the original poster asked if he could use wine bottles if he didn't prime. I you intended to prime then I, personally, would not use normal wine bottles as I don't know if they'd cope with pressure.
Heavy sparkling wine bottles should be ok though, but I think you may have problems with plastic stoppers.
