    Rolled oats in oatmeal stout

    Whats the recmonded amount i should use percentage wise in an oatmeal stout? I heard somewhere about getting a stuck mash if you use too many. I've used them before in dark milds but only in small quanities.....

    At last... all bottled up......what's next.

    Yesterday i bottled up my 2 latest batches of beer. 16 pints of AG dark ale (bob's your goblin) and 40 pints of extract stout (scooby brews mystery stout)....that's it for me now for a bit although i have just placed an order with the malt miller, got some extract coming along with some hops...

    Brewing Ale with Lager yeast??

    If i use a lager yeast say over winter because the temps are lower, but i don't cold condition it (lager it) for a month or two, like you would with a proper lager..... is it still classed as a lager or is it an ale. Anyone tried doing this? and what's the resulting beer like. :hmm:

    Lager from extract??

    Anyone had any really successful lager brews from extract?? I want to have a go over winter and was going to go with my usual BIAB method , but i may go down the extract route to save a bit of time. :smile:

    Hop combos...... Chinook

    Anyone got any suggestions on what other hop i should use with Chinook? I'm going to do a 23lt extract batch of bitter, i wanted to use Chinook for bittering as i have plenty of it. I've also got galaxy, challanger, US cascade and EKG. Any suggestions most welcome :thumb:

    water PH for lager brewing??

    my water PH is 6.5 is this ok for brewing lager?? I normally brew ale and don't have any issues... but i was wondering about lager as i hope to had a go over winter. i heard about using acid malt to increase the acidity, is it worth using.

    Anyone got an AG or extract clone recipe for Tiger lager? I'm not normally a lager drinker but I've really enjoyed drinking this through the summer. Will have a go over winter. :thumb:

    The elderflowers are on there way!!

    I'm thinking of adding some fresh elderflowers to my next brew, hopefully this fri. I'm going to make a golden ale, a 10 lts batch. How many heads do you reckon? Plus at what time of the boil do u add. I've got EKG and galexy lined up for the brew. Any ideas :)
