    Storing Bottles and Explosions...

Thanks chaps! I'll make sure it's fermented out fully with my hydrometer and just go with 1/2tsp to prime. Might keep the first batch in a box just for peace of mind until I'm confident they're safe :thumb:

    Storing Bottles and Explosions...

Hi chaps, I'll be about to bottle my first batch of homebrew beer in the near future and the thing that it concerning me most is bottles exploding and hurting one of my housemates! I know in theory as long as I don't over-prime then I shouldn't get bottle bombs...but it still worries me...

    Worth the extra?

Thanks chaps, I'll bear the pet bottles in mind if I can't get enough glass ones together in time! Cheers!

    Worth the extra?

Thanks for the advice chaps! My original plan was and still is to bottle, but I'm struggling to get together 40...everywhere around here seems to sell just cask ales, but I've got a couple of local pubs that are saving me Bulmers bottles :) But, just in case I can't get enough by bottling day...

    Worth the extra?

Hi guys, Just a quick question, I'm on a budget (student) for my homebrewing and am toying with the idea of getting a keg. Is it worth saving a bit longer to get a King Keg, or will the budget/Wilkos kegs do the job just as well? Many Thanks, NB

    Hello!

Thanks for the welcome chaps! I had a read of the guides and found them really useful :thumb: My FV is now bubbling away merrily; it's going to have to stay in there for 3wks before bottling unfortunately as I'm away, but a bit of googling reassured me that it should be ok! NB

    Hello!

Hi everyone, I've just bought myself a starter set and am going to attempt my first brew in a week or so! I've joined to get some tips before brewday to hopefully avoid any rookie errors  Looking forward to getting involved on the forums, NB
