hey guys,

I'm planning on a stout as my next all grain brew. What do you think about this recipe? I'd love to hear some comments!

volume: 12 liter
OG: 1.085
expected FG: 1.024
ABV: 7,9%
Bitterness: 76 IBU
Color: 122 EBC

Boiltime: 60 mins

Grains:
1,9 kg Pilsner
1,8 kg Pale Ale
270 g Special B
250 g chocolate malt
180 g roasted barley

Mash:
60 mins @ 68 celsius
5 mins @ 78 celsius

Hops:
17 g Columbus (15,8%) @ 40 mins
22 g Columbus (15,8%) @ 20 mins

Yeast and fermentation
11,5 g Danstar - Nottingham
no temperature control

I'd love to hear what you guys think of this

I've had not so great experiences using that kind of amount of chocolate malt, and similarly high mash temps. You may find you end up with a lot of unfermentable sugars

have done a sweeter english stout along similar lines, will post my ingredients later, but i did include dark spray dried malt, coffee, liquorice and molasses into it though
