Default Old sayings. (parents used to say)

I read a couple in another thread so thought a thread on the subject would be popular -

To the younger members - yes our parents really did used to say this stuff.

beerhunter - don't run with scissors and always wear clean pant in case you get run over.

Slayer - always tuck your vest in when it's cold

Never wear your coat in the house as you wont feel the benefit when you go outside.

geetee - My best advice to new brewers would be:
Always make more than you can drink, just in case!

I doubt his parents said that - CT

Not sure if this is regional or not but:

Sh!t for luck!

If a passing bird happens to hit you from above its meant to be lucky?

My mother in law would head straight to the betting shop if this happened expecting to win.
