I`ve just invested in a cheap corona mill but have never used 1 and have no idea how to set it up to get a good crush for my GF.is it just trial and error ?

1. Make sure that the two grinding faces are parallel by adjusting the bits and pieces that make up the mill.
2. Put a Credit Card between the two grinding faces and gently tighten up the adjusting bolt until it just grips the Credit Card.
3. Remove the Credit Card, make sure everything spins okay, add a handful of grain and check the result.
4. Adjust the gap in or out depending on how the milled grain looks.
The attached photos may help.
The photograph of milled grain shows from top to bottom (for me):
o Too coarse.
o Spot on.
o Too fine.
The bottom photograph shows how I use the Mill within an old FV.
I keep a small de-humidifier in the FV when it's not in use to help prevent mould forming.

Thanks a lot guys.Hopefully I`ll give it a go on Sunday:)
Works a treat.Takes around 20 minutes to mill 5kg.
The Grainfather website recommends setting your mill between 1.27 and 1.44mm.
