I need to purge bottles with co2. I am new to this so have a few questions.

- Would I purchase something along these lines?
https://www.boconlineshop.com/shop/en/uk/suregas-cylinder-569

- Once I have the co2 what is the easiest way to purge the bottles ie. what equipment so I need to get the co2 from the tank to the bottles?

- Is it best to purge the bottles before filling? Purge the airspace at the top of the bottle after filling? Or both?

What's the reason behind putting bottles?

You don't need to purge the air from bottles before bottling, you just need to fill them leaving a space with air between the top of the beer and cap, the oxygen in that space will then be used by the yeast during conditioning and turned into CO2, oxidation in bottled beers, if sealed properly takes a very very long time
