Hi all,
I'm currently doing a Theakstons Old Peculier Clone hopefully ready for Xmas, but please can anybody else recommend a recipe for a beer that will keep you warm over the festive period and beyond?
I like darker ales but without any of the coffee flavour or aroma as I can't stand coffee. Beers that I've liked in the past will Exmoor Beast (have got a clone) Woodfordes Admirals Reserve, Woods Cracker and Brains Fir King Good (to me, those last 2 delights were like extra Christmas Presents!) These are all to me, "warming beers" with the taste of a hint of spice/fruit, stronger than normal ales and moreish but without any roasted flavour.
Thanks
