Hi Y'all, I did a variation on a weissbier in readiness for the one week of good weather we always seem to get in May that constitutes summer in South Wales

2kg dwe
450g golden syrup
500g clear candi sugar (sorry myqul - I had to do it)
50g galaxy hops
mj's baverian wheat yeast. (m20)

dissolved candi sugar and golden syrup in 4 litres water brought to the boil.
chucked hops in a bag 5 mins after flame out into boiled wort and left for 15 mins.
meanwhile dissolved 2kg of dwe in 6 litres of room temp water into the fv. Then added the boiled wort and hops to the fv. will remove the hops after 5-6 days.
Topped up to 21.5 litres and pitched rehydrated yeast at 30

So to win a bottle of this the closest OG and FG guess wins the prize. It will most likely be bottled two weeks tomorrow, so you have until then to get your guesses in. - good luck.

When does your blood finialy invert?

I'm gonna think about this one. Is the candi home made ;-)

I'm still sitting on a mini keg of the styrian wolf you tried.

I need an excuse and people before I open that!

nope it's not home made, i'm only allowed so many hours in the kitchen :-(

THE WINNER IS WFR - congrats. :hat:

1050 og - 1008 fg making it a 5.51% wheat beer. As you were spot on the money you can name the beer if you like  or I have something in mind.

pm me your address and i'll send it off in a few weeks.

Woo hoo!

I'm guessing you want to name it before I taste it, if so I will forgo the naming rights as I normally rely on a something happening on brew day to inspire my names or stick with ag5 raspberry wheat beer...

Pm on it's way.
