Just a simple re-rub of my old favourite recipe with a little more aroma hops and modified for a larger boil size, which I hope will drive off more DMS etc!

No pics, no point really! All went smooth, my hop filter problem was quickly solved by attacking it with a brew spoon getting the break material off. It's now chilling in the cold outside under airlock

This was the first recipe I ever put together and i've made it 4 times since, each variation sucked more than the original recipe, so why change it? All I've changed, this being the 5th variation, is making it a tiny bit more bitter (8 IBU to 19 IBU) and added more aroma hops. The amber malt just rubs off the light sweetness and gives it a little savoury taste, and although it's probably wrong, it really goes down a treat.

Success!

.....blasphemy...you know the rules by now :sulk:

As long as it tastes good to you how can it be wrong  :drink: :drunk:

Hahah yeah, I guess I don't find extract brewdays exciting any more.

I ended up chilling outside because I figure hey, it's 2c out there, probably about the same in the bath! lol. After a few hours (and a few airlock top ups due to suction) it had chilled nicely, there is some break material floating around but I'm racking off later on (as i'm gonna sort of emulate a double drop technique.)

Fermenting away, smells great :thumb:

All done. Amber malt is shining through weirdly, must be the larger boil volume.
