Abv?

Hello all

I like many are coming back to HB (cause actually have time to do it now) just a quick question if anyone can help just trying to roughly calculate abv. Had a few kits on the go now after brewing on and off for few years.

Some kits use different calculations SG -FG × ? Depending on sugar. For example done a artisan ipa just from wilko which used SG-FG× 0.129 ? then a coopers pale ale I've done says OG-FG÷7.46+0.5? Atm got a evil dog which doesn't give any sort of calculation just says take hydrometer reading and when below 1010 it's ready? Checked Google and it gives general calculation of OG-FG×131.25?
