Inital recipe taken from www.hopandgrain.com (Hopping Hare clone) - adjusted for my stocks.
Batch size 23l
Mash 66C 90 mins
Boil 60 mins
Grain:
4kg Maris Otter
300g Pale Wheat malt
250g Caramalt

Hops:
30g First Gold 8.11% 60 mins
30g Cascade 6.6% 10 mins
16g Fuggles 4.5% 10 mins
4g Bobek 6.17% 10 mins
30g Bobek 6.17% 0 mins
30g Cascade 6.6% 0 mins

Additionals:
0.5 protofloc tablet 15 mins

Yeast:
S05 taken from previous yeast cake and washed
The original recipe stated goldings, and not Bobek, but I only had Bobek in, and I also had less of them than I thought, meaning I had to make up the 16g shortfall with Fuggles, thanks to some advice from the guys in the THBF chat room last night.

I got up especially early today so I can get the brew out of the way and have the rest of the day to spend with my girlfriend, so far everything has gone according to plan.

Yeast washing in progress, I'm not sure whether to split the captured yeast into two batches, or just chuck them all into this one:

My awesome purchase yesterday from Caerphilly castle, inspiring me to make a mead!

Doughed in, slightly under temp but I'm not too worried:

Pretty chuffed I have the mash halfway through by 8am on a Sunday morning!

More pics to follow.

Hot break (I think) and first hops:

Last hops in at flame out, steeped for 10 minutes before turning on the chiller:

Spotted my chiller inlet leaks tap water into the brew! Last minute clamp action required:

Washed S05 yeast, going to use it all!

Increased brewery efficiency from fly sparging meant I've ended up with 1050 instead.

23l pretty much dead on:

I'm having to leave the wort for a couple of hours before adding the yeast as it's currently sitting at 26C instead of the ideal 23C.

All cleaned up and done by 2pm, that's a first for me :)
