Hi All :D

Does anybody have any idea what this may be.... i have been told it is used for winemaking but looks more like a still of some sort..

It is all copper with a brass insert with the date stamped 1947 and has a 1920 Gas standard stamp as well as a royal crown with GR underneath, Both thermometers are mercury and it all comes packed away in the wooden box behind.

I don't know much about it and have sent it away to be appraised and hopefully find a little bit more out about it

Hopefully somebody on here may be able to shine some light on it........ thanks in advance

whatever it is its a beauty and looks in good condition. Where did you come across it ? and keep us posted if you find out anything else.

Reminds me of the stuff they used in the program 'Moonshiners' on one of the discovery channels. Like onebof their stills, but a fair bit smaller.

an abv tester looks the most likely... good find, hope you got it cheap

I got it very cheap :thumb:

It was sat in the loft and had been there for about 20+ years.... gave it a quick clean up today and it looks great.

No real use to me so think it will be going up for sale soon.
