Hey guys!

I just moved to London Docklands - near Canary Wharf. I've found a real nice pub (The gun) which has some decent ales but Im really struggling to find a shop with a good range of beers. Maybe I was spoilt in Bristol with choice but there must be somewhere around that has some local brews or imports.

Anyone know a good spot?

Cheers

Nothing too local to you but these may be worth a try

Drinkers Paradise
129 Castlehaven Rd, Kentish Town, NW1 8SJ
Around 80 bottled ales from around the world, but most of them British.

Highbury Vintners
71 Highbury Park, Highbury, N5 1UA
Although primarily a wine shop, this recently extended off-licence also has more than 100 specialist beers from around the world. You can also purchase bottles from their website.

Nelson Wines
168 Merton High St, Colliers Wood, SW19 1AZ
A Colliers Wood off-licence with a suprisingly good beer selection.

Real Ale
371 Richmond Rd, Twickenham,TW1 2EF
A delightful shop (and website) which is well-stocked with every conceivable type of interesting beer. They’re geared up for delivery too, if you’re not located near St Margarets.

Utobeer
Borough Market, London Bridge, SE1 1TL
A stall in Borough Market, open market hours only Thur-Sat. If you want to try some of their extensive range in situ, their little bar, The Rake, is just at the edge of Borough Market and is open noon-11pm Mon-Fri and 10am-11pm Sat.

Its not in Docklands, but the best beer shop I know in London is Uto Beer in Borough Market.

It can be quite pricey for some of the imported beers but they have a great range. I'd recommend taking a strong bag with you - I always end up being limited to my carrying capacity when I got there...

Its also popping round the corner to the Rake - their pub which has a great range, as well as checking out the Market Porter which has an decent range of ales & great atmosphere.

ah, you beat me to it Steve!

Thats a good list of shops, I've only heard of Uto before, so I'll have ot check out the others.
