Not having the space or DIY skills (or leccy in the shed) to build a keezer/kegerator I'm looking at options to cool kegs for the party season next month.

The 2 options I'm looking at are either a mini Jockey Box:

Which sounds good in theory - fill it with ice cubes, beer travels through the stainless steel coil and cools down.

But I'm wondering why there are different sizes, i.e. is this one not going to get the beer very cold?

Also, it's very expensive once you add the postage and VAT, and nobody in the UK seems to sell them :-(

The other option I'm looking at is a Neoprene insulator and an Ice Blanket that you pop in the freezer.

Again, nobody in the UK seems to do them :(

I've seen DIY versions of each, but in the case of the Jockey box by the time you buy the coil you don't seem to save much, and in the case of the jacket the DIY versions I've seen seem to use materials you can't get in the UK.

Any recommendations? Anyone cobbled anything together that's a lot cheaper and doesn't require extensive DIY skills?
