Never had a Newcastle Brown, saw this on a BOGOF deal wither the Bandit Brew by the same company, picked them both up because… why not? XD
The kit is a 2.1kg ‘bag,’ as opposed to a can, and I added 500g of dark spray malt, and 500g of dark brown sugar.
After 2 weeks in my fermenter I bottled it and left it for 2 weeks, and tonight was tasting night…
Absolutely bloody marvellous is all I can say. It’s a lovely dark brown colour, nice head on it, really smooth, even at 6%, and a lovely aftertaste of the dark brown sugar - slightly liquorice-y.
9/10 would definitely brew again
