Guys,

Just finished my BIAB #3 Parched Polecat, which is supposed to be a clone of Fursty Ferret.

3.8kg Marris Otter (84.8%)

300g Carapils (6.7%)

300g Wheat malt (6.7%)

80g Chocolate malt (1.8%)

12g Target 13IBU 11%a 60 mins

25g EK Goldings 7IBU 5%a 20 mins

20g Styrian Goldings 6IBU 5%a 20 mins

Irish Moss 15 mins

US-05

21 litre

OG 1050

28 litre strike water at 70oC, mashed for 75 minutes and the boiled for 60 minutes, temp brought down to 20oC and pitched yeast. Now sat in my beer fridge at 18.5oC

Anybody got any thoughts on the recipe and if i should dry hop. I don't think i should as i don't believe Fursty Ferret is intensely hoppy, but happy to take ideas.

Cheers guys

Love the name. Fursty ferret is a nice beer; I'm no recipe expert but I agree that it's not a heavily hopped ale and would guess it's not dry hopped. Keep us posted, if it turns out similar to ff I'd be interested in a go at this.
