Oh yeah, there will be pics, the last brew in the plastic bucket  must be documented

I've got 60L of 1.048 wort collected and coming up to the boil, will be interesting to see what volume and SG I end up with after the boil :hmm:

Target batch size is 46L

Just steeping the aroma hops, should have this in fermenters by 6pm :D

 I've been 'snapping' pics will follow later on tonight :thumb:

I've gone back to spinny sparging today after batch sparging, hoping for an improved efficiency -I need to get a stable efficiency - my batch sparge figures have been all over the place  Stopped at 1.020 today.

Right, ended up with 45L at 1.056  I'm happy with that :D

Pics to follow ;)

 uploading now

.. it's nothing you haven't seen before

Both FV's bubbling away nicely, unfortunately I think i'm going to have the same 'protofloc floating bread' issues though  I think i'll drop these to secondary to try to leave it behind :thumb:

i'm keen to see if this protafloc issue springs up again, even with that many hops for a filter as i had this problem with my latest brew which wasted about a gallon of beer

any ideas of how to fix it? i've thought about collecting the wort through a wine filter or something.

its a shame really because the beer i racked was crystal clear straight out of the fermenter... my clearest yet, and the finished product was 100% crytal polished commercial looking too, without any finings use at all.
