Boiling flaked grains?

I haven't been very happy with my efficiency when using flaked oats or barley. I am curious if others are boiling these before they are added to the mash?

I haven't been very happy with my efficiency when using flaked oats or barley. I am curious if others are boiling these before they are added to the mash?

I use flaked barley find it better than the oats just mash with the base malt.
