didn't change the tap, just filed one edge of the lever flat so it would stop in the 'open' position Codged together a hop filter with tubing and a stainless flexible hose
Baz, I favour keeping the tap as well; nice idea to file it! :thumb:
But I am still undecided about how to strain the hops. :hmm:
I have been looking into a ss false bottom (similar to Alemanâs, and, Vossyâs) EDIT: question relating to ss mesh false bottom deleted and re-asked on different thread]
Baz, when you say tubing and flexi hose; how did you connect the tubing to the back of the tap? Also, do you get hops sticking to the hose as it is in direct contact with the heating surface of the boiler? If the false bottom idea doesnât pan out then a flexi hose may be the way to go!
