As have space in my water bath, thought finally time to get the Cellar 7 Merlot kit on.

Spotted Ribena on offer in the Co-Op, well £2 a litre, so will probably add 1 litre of it to the mix, I like fruity wines (fingers crossed) :D

Also looking at making it to the 19-20 litre mark depenfing on how the reading sits, as seen that can improve the flavour, body and ABV from its normal 10%ish :sulk:

That's no added sugar Ribena you've got there so I would guess it will be high in other sweeteners, well worth a check otherwise you'll end up with a very sweet wine.

If you're going to put it in pre-fermentation, you should boil it in some water to drive off the preservatives which don't play well with yeast.
 
Skipped the Ribena in the end,will wait to see how it ferments out then maybe add some, made it to 19 litre so will start at around 1.094-6 on the reading
