Chopping sultanas

Quite a few recipes include chopped sultanas.

Any tips on how to easily chop 1 Kg+?
I've tried but they all stick together and mush up the knife. And I like to keep 5 fingers on each hand !

Maybe they don't have to be chopped?

i just chucked them in when making make, siphon out so they end up stuck with lees
