This is the bunch I got it from last time: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLEAR-Silicone-Translucent-Soft-Rubber-Tubing-FDA-Approved-Milk-Hose-Dairy-Pipe/201125252854?_trkparms=aid=111001&algo=REC.SEED&ao=1&asc=52975&meid=adaefe28f42e46a7af7149c5215793e2&pid=100675&rk=1&rkt=15&mehot=pp&sd=201125252854&itm=201125252854&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci:ca453e24-7d19-11e8-abdc-74dbd1808f94|parentrq:5564ef2b1640a9e4e9adad3afff491ea|iid:1

I've never thought of silicone hose being supplied in different softness - anyway this "milk hose" ought to be the same stuff (it is a year since I bought the stuff). I've confirmed it is the 5mm ID stuff you want, and it has a 10mm OD.

I dare not give the length I used because of the varying sizes of Corny keg, but it doesn't take long to get the right length figured out. It's soft stuff so don't be ham-fisted pushing it onto the dip-tube or the dip-tube will cut it. I found the Chinese dip-tubes to be shorter, but it can always be swapped with the original gas-in dip-tube. The bit of extra length is handy when fitting the tube because it needs manipulating "blind" with your hand through the Corny keg lid (handy if you are the piano playing type and not the average hole digging navvy).
Thanks for that. I've ordered 2m of the tubing; more than enough for a single standard corny and two half-height. I noticed that some of the Chinese gas-in tubes looked very stubby so I ordered some that looked more like the standard length. These.

Edit: Just ordered the 3x caskwidge red float heads as well. Delivery was £4.95+VAT as you said. All in 30 quid plus change delivered.

This thread on HBT got a timely bump last week and it made me panic about the differences between silicone hoses. I never knew there was something called 'platinum cured' that you must have if the hose is going to be in prolonged contact with foodstuff. The ebay ad did not explicitly state the hose type so I bought the smallest length I could, which was 5 metres, from a company called Polymax. I got 6.3mm ID by 1.6mm wall thickness. It's good stuff. It fits snugly over the short gas post and the caskwidge thingy and is noticeably more flexible than the length I got from ebay which should help with preventing sticking.

Anyway, it's going into the keg this weekend so we'll see how it performs in a couple of weeks when carbonation is complete.
