My garage contains crime against all that I hold dear, two FZ750 in need of TLC. Set them aside to build our house and so far too lazy, and skint, to get them back to their best.

Mash on.

Set HLT to 80, aiming for 64deg mash. Gave mash tun 5mins to warm before the grain goes in, the garage is at 2deg.

Top up HLT and set PID incase I need to circulate wort to raise temp.

The hop schedule is wrong in the pic above.
It should be:
Fuggle,25g,4.3%,75min
Styrian Golding,75g,3.3%,75min
Styrian Golding,40g,3.3%,10min steep at 80degC

However I've swaped the fuggle ad styrian today, so:
Fuggle,75g,4.3%,75min
Styrian Golding,25g,3.3%,75min
Styrian Golding,40g,3.3%,10min steep at 80degC

First runnings

Nicely done, I like the idea of housing the electrical gubbins in a toolbox :geek:

Break shows itself at just below 30degC

Plenty of O2.

Jug to wort to add more O2

OG 1041. my hydrometer reads about 2 points high so 1039. Quite close

I top up the starter with wort and give it a few hours before I pitch.

I'm happy. :D

Nice one, that'll warm your cockles.

Good pics

What yeast did you use?

My own. I harvest some every few brews, store in in the fridge till I need it.
I got it originally, about a year and a half ago, from a bottled conditioned beer.
Tried a few but this was the only one that had the flavours that I liked and that worked on the brew size. Only wish I could remember to beer's name

Nice ... very, very nice!
:D

Love the bikes too ... what's wrong with them. (And why do you have two?)

The FZ needs new forks and unitrack bushes. That's about it, although the carbs will need a good clean and rubbers changed.
The FZ Genisis needs forks and don't know what else cos I got it when a friend was moving and the cost to transport it over the water was too much.
