Hey, I'm looking for a nice, tried and tested dark mild recipe. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be very much appreciated :thumb:

I've just put on a srah hughes dark ruby and have high hopes for it, if you want the recipe i'd be more than happy to post it. The recipe i used was:
5100g Marris Otter
900g Crystal
mash at 67 degrees
31g fuggles at 60 mins
30g goldings at 60 mins
20g fuggles at 10 mins
Nottingham yeast
I only used this recipe this morning for ag#5 so i cant comment on how good the beer is yet but going by other peoples experience im sure it will turn out a winner!

Sarah Hughes is a cracking pint. Not as dark as some milds, but deceptively strong. Could well be going back on for a Xmas beer.

Thats why I've brewed it now to age nicely for Xmas, I'm in 2 minds whether to bottle or barrel it though.
