So... I'm new to the forum and my last post was regarding a 17L tea urn I just got and how appropriate it'd be for brewing....
Turns out in a moment of madness/revelation last night I bought a peco boiler etc. from HBC with their black Friday discount. I'll hold onto the urn to do my dunk sparge.
I've been reading a bit and think I'll be safer with a false bottom to keep my biab bag off the element. They seem expensive for what they are, so decided to try to build one using a frying pan splash guard. Can anyone tell me the diameter of the boiler, and roughly how high the feet would have to be to clear the element and tap?
One more thing....do I cool the wort with the coil chiller in the boiler or in the FV?
Cheers :
