haha yeh, the timer puts it on for an hour/off for an hour, keeps it at a pretty even 25deg

didn't taste too bad actually, quite a warming sensation after a sip or two ! I expected it to be a lot sharper, so looking good so far

I've made a similar recipe recently with equal portions of Asda RGJ and pink grapefruit and found it quite nice, wife wanted it a bit sweeter but not bad at all. Will do again.

hmm, down to 0.990 now so will leave it for a week then rack for clearing..

Might be a bit on the tart side for me so might think about sweetening...

Anyone have much experience of using a 'wine sweetener', my lhbs sells one

decided to sweeten a bit, so on advice from my lhbs, I added 300g of sugar dissolved in hot water, then cooled. Was to leave it for 24 hrs to let the sugar invert, and then stablise etc...

Watch this space

Clearing pretty well, might bottle up this weekend :)

Had a few glasses of it last night and you can def tell it's made with grapefruit, but a bit of sugar to sweeten when I racked it helped.

It's like a really dry rose, sharp but not overly.. my missus reckons it's the best tasting wow I've made so far (over the rgj/apple & rasp I did)
