Oui' oui'. J'mapelle Château de Flixon here.

Since it's original build in 1153, when the 3rd Nuns Covenant of Ricasoli famously dragged 15 ton blocks of granite up a hastily rigged pulley system, Château de Flixon has become synonymous with quality, reliability, stamina and body.

It's ancient vineyards, fertilised only with the droppings of virgin, grass eating fawn, roam across the sprawling 1000 acre area of landscaped parklands.

For generations, the Flixon family has been dedicated to the art of winemaking and to the philosophy that the quality of a wine originates in the vineyard. Our Single Vineyard Rouge de la Cul-de-Sac wine is sourced exclusively from specific vineyard blocks named for the pioneering Nuns who relate to the history of Flixon Vineyards’ winemaking tradition and premier estate vineyards.

In keeping with our traditional style, we'll be lashing up mon bucket with trente bottles of Single Vineyard Rouge de la Cul-de-Sac, for consumption in just a quatorze day time period, proving to our ancient ancestors that beyond all doubt, quantity is far better than quality where the VAT man is concerned.

For now meus amigos, tchau...

Have you checked your family tree, you could be a descendent of Louis Flixon XIV and the Nun who ran away to Germany while pregnant. She opened a brothel then bought a vine yard on the banks of the Mosel with the proceeds, Hence Chateau de Flixon could be the brother wine to that famous tipple originally made by a prostitute of our lady. Blue Nun
