I have been making some plum wine and have just transferred to my secondary fermentation vessel but all signs of fermentation has stopped (I only started the wine 5 days ago).

Thinking back I didn't rinse after sterilising the demijohn - could the remnants of sterilising liquid have killed the yeast? If so is ther anyway I can rescue this?

Thanks :wha:

racking can **** the yeasts off, it will be off again in a day or two.

The reminants of the steralizing that hasnt been rinsed will just leave a nasty after taste i believe

if you sterilized with something like vwp that contains chlorine then you'll probley killed the yeast depending how strong the solution was
