Ah that Aunty Elspath's a wily old fox, still sharp as a tack. But for poor old Uncle Theodore's sake let's assume no change of volume during the boil, even though he has finished off the malted milk leaving just that broken and slightly soft ginger nut that's been there for an embarrassingly long time.

The 6 nations rugby tournament has only recently been concluded but 2001 also saw an Autumn conclusion -what was the reason for the postponement on that occassion?
Foot and mouth outbreak. IIRC Ireland's games were badly affected, meaning they played most of them after the outbreak was brought under control. England went to Dublin chasing a grand slam, lost on the day, but won the tournament overall

I think this is an urban myth
I stand corrected...according to IMDB

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)

Incrementing each letter of "HAL" gives you "IBM". Writer Arthur C. Clarke claimed this was unintentional, and if he had noticed ahead of time, he would have changed it. HAL stands for Heuristic Algorithmic Computer. IBM brand placements appear in the movie as well, including the computer panels in the spaceplane that docks with the space station, the forearm control panel on Dave's spacesuit, and the portable viewscreens on which Dave and Frank watch "The World Tonight". These were not paid endorsements but were used to make things appear to be routine tech.
