I’m using the BREWFATHER app to develop a recipe.

I was looking at boiling a smaller volume and back liquoring (fermenter top-up) to final batch volume.

When this is entered into BREWFATHER - that is - keep the batch size and recipe the same but use the fermenter-top-up feature (effectively reducing the sparge volume), the ABV remains constant, but, the IBU’s are reduced.

Is this what is actually happening (total IBU’s are reduced) or is it a bug in the app ?
