Attempt at "proper" lager. Two batches...one bohemian malt / saar hops, the other Viennese malt / mitelfruh hops. Fermented in unheated garage last March / April, and stored in unheated garage since then. Bottled yesterday...great colour and tastes good, especially viennese. Currently next to radiator in bedroom, but plan to shift back to garage in a couple of weeks. Hopefully clear and carbonated by early summer. Not one to drink by the pint though....7.5%!

I just put it in a couple of fermentation vessels with air locks. I didn't monitor temp, it's pretty shaded and always feels cool when you go in in the summer. Couldn't control it so decided not worry too much, just see how it turns out. Initial signs very promising - especially viennese. It was about 8 - 12 degrees when fermenting, and probably a bit cooler over the winter.
