Hi I was wondering if anybody could give me a recipe for making something similar to Mandarine Napoleon. I used to buy it in France but haven't been able to find it in the shops on recent visits. I was thinking of starting with brandy as a base and then adding mandarine zest and sugar, would this work?

Sounds interesting. Never heard of it. Napoleon brandy, yes. Contains grape spirit, caramel and sugar. OK with coffee. Oranges? Grand Marnier, Cointreu?

It is not a very common drink here, i have only ever found it once in the uk and it vas rather expensive. Its similar Grand Marnier and Cointreu, or to a lesser extent triple sec, but they just dont same flavour. I was just wondering if there would be a simple way to replicate it.
