I have been looking on ebay for a PT100 and they all seem to come with a long metal probe, how do you use these in your HLT/Boiler?

I would have thought that a shorter probe would be more convenient or am I missing something?

Have a look in the equipments section top link and have a nosey around southern temperature sensors and you'll find things like http://www.southerntemp.co.uk/]these 50mm long PT100's[/url] They also have a ebay shop and you can request stuff to be made and they'll link it for you so you can pay. You can get the sensors made to any size you want and to mount them have a look at their webby for thermowells, glands etc :thumb:
One of the hardest things when trying to find something is knowing what to look for, the STS webby has loads of great pics
