Hi, just bought a second hand maxi 310 from eBay, I think made in 2003. Switched it on and the python loop started to get cold as expected after 30 minutes or so. I noticed one of the copper pipes getting very hot, the compressor also. Is this normal? Worried it'll overheat and break.
Also, I'm supposed to be taking it to south America on a flight as checked in luggage. Was wondering if anyone knows if I'd need to take the refridgerant gas out before checking it in. Took the lid off the unit and couldn't see any valves for filling or releasing refrigerant gas.. Was expecting to see a valve like on an AC unit.
Any help with this would be much appreciated!
