Greetings,

I am going to transfer the kit wort, into a secondary fermentation vessel before bottling.

  • Before bottling should the secondary fermentation vessel have an air trap or should it be pressurised with CO2??
  • Is it worth doing secondary fermentation for more than a month before bottling??
  • How long before bottling should I add watermelon flavouring or chocolate for a stout??
  • How long before bottling should I add bottle conditioning yeast??
  • Is it only worth bottle conditioning for stouts or also for a sour??

Thanks
Clive

A secondary is unnecessary for most beers.
You can add flavoring in the bottling bucket.
In most cases you don't need to add yeast at bottling.
You can bottle condition any beer.
