I bought the pear cider kit. And I thought do u think I could put some malina syrup in the bottom of each bottle to prime and flavour it? Cos it sounds like a god idea raspberry pear cider yum :)

I can't see why not but check the sugar content of the syrup. Priming with 1 tsp of normal sugar per 500 ml of cider produces a decent fizz after conditioning. If you were to put in the equivalent of several tsp's of sugar then you might be making bottle bombs.

Or, to avoid this problem, just add the syrup to your fermenter before bottling, and prime with sugar as normal?

Of I get a bottle and post how much sugar per 100ml could someone work out per pint bottle I would need. I'm pretty thick lol

I primed my raspberryade with 7ml per 500ml bottle.. Roughly worked out to 4g sugar, same as 1tsp sugar
