Hi all. just took a reading and it has come down from 1078 to 1016 which is just over 8% and its still fermenting. That was not doing a yeast starter that was a S o5 staight out the packet.

Hi. done an extract london pride yesterday, added a few more fermentables and another type of hop as iam hop mad. Smelt beautiful and 20hrs on and its going crazy massive crust already. SG was 1053 so should get roughly 4.8 -5.0 Made a choc stout a few months back which finished at 7.0%...

Hi cheers for the reply, but i did use brewing sugar and spraymalt in both kits to give it a bit better outcome, the abv was 6.6 on the bitter and 5.9 on the ipa.
