I done it with two Torps a couple of years ago and it worked quite well. There’s some good YouTube videos on it. Make sure you use enough carbonation drops/sugar for the two litres.
Fridge was £20 on Facebook market place.
Black spray paint was £5
Keg starter kit was £207.50
Beer tower was £60
14lb CO2 was £30 deposit and £20 to fill from JR Gases
Could have done it cheaper if I didn’t want the beer tower and had the taps through the door of the fridge.
Lots of people recommend a hotpoint rla under counter fridge. I’m in the middle of putting a kegerator together and got one off Facebook marketplace for £20. Fits two 19l kegs no bother.
Will also fit a small co2 canister in the back. Unfortunately the supplier I went to only had the 14lb...
Well the mob have spoken and it’s got to be the kegerator! Thanks for all the input guys. Strangely enough the missus is actually encouraging the kegerator so it’s a win win for me!
What should my next homebrew investment be??
I currently brew in a 15L pot and do partial/mini mash brews. So what’s next? Should I buy an all in one brewing system or start kegging my beer and build a kegerator. What have you guys done?
