    Hello from Devon

Welcome to the forum. I'm from South Devon myself, not far from Plymouth.

When it says "top up to 23 litres".....?

Try a 30L Burco from Amazon. The price seems to have gone up a bit since I bought mine a couple of months ago, but it's been perfect for all my 23l brews.

What's your view on Plastic Pressure Barrels (PBs)?

I have an old Sparklets 5 gallon barrel that I got from Boots many years ago. Never had any problems with it and I'm still using it today.

    Homebrew Hop Shop

I've ordered from them recently with no problems, although my orders were for equipment rather than ingredients. As they're not far from me, I popped down there last week and they had 3 staff picking for web orders only. just waiting for them to 're-open officially. 😁

    Returning Home Brewer! UK

Seems like this lockdown is bringing a lot of newcomers to the brewing scene - myself included. Like you, I dabbled in home brewing (back in the 80's), mainly kits, and then progressed to AG brews. After nearly a 15 year break I made my first 'lock-down' brew at the end of March, so it's nearly...

Coronavirus: Dorset knob-eating contest held online amid lockdown

Hi, I'm a noobie to this forum, but I couldn't resist adding a comment to this thread. I've been nibbling knobs (of the Dorset ilk) for around 55 years since being introduced to them by my mum as a kid. I've also visited the original Morcombelake's Dorset Knob factory many times as a kid, long...
