    New Vine Co wine kits

Completely agree. For me it should be lighter in colour and body and dare I say a little earthy and dry too? I was wondering if my recollection was playing tricks. But as you say, very nice nevertheless.

    Cantina wine kits

We have done a few Cantina and the whites are good enough although more recently on another thread I commented that the sweet spot might be the On The House for a Chardonnay for example. I couldn't rate any reds in this range and more generally at this price point. Just my opinion though.

    New Vine Co wine kits

Got a chance to bottle the Tempranillo today so had to try it. Bear in mind it has had longer than usual in the secondary. I am quite pleased by the body and a little complexity and it certainly tastes good. But not exactly what I was expecting from a Tempranillo. I think I should wait to...

    New Vine Co wine kits

Have been away from home since end of lockdown so looking forward to trying the Tempranillo when I get back in a few days. Looking forward to it. Will post when I get a chance.

    European Super League

Just as well we can rely on the integrity of Uefa and Fifa going forward. 😂

    European Super League

Yes I would. And they will at some point. But this is being hailed as a victory for the fans etc. They (the six) all did wrong apparently. And now they only signed up because...

    European Super League

I'm not sure that entirely exonerates them. It was for many people still wrong to sign up to it.

You know what they say. If you owe the bank 100 thousand and default, you've got a problem. If you owe the bank 100 million and default, they've got a problem.

    European Super League

Lots of rubbish written in the press today. Hard to make sense sometimes. I'll take stock again tomorrow. Thought there was a slight irony when Chris Sutton (great player and not too bad pundit, imho) pretty much said money was ruining the game. 1990's? Jack Walker's millions?

    European Super League

Agreed. And it is something along the same lines. 2 golden ticket places added for the 'elite' with a pretence of more democratisation for another 2. A way to try to appease and ward off the Super League, but not enough. If you want to reduce meaningless games, reduce the numbers! Not increase...

    Woodforde Admiral Reserve

It won't get stronger and while it will improve it will not change as much as some other kits. Only one way to find out about making it up to 40 pints. Although you could maybe take a small glass and add the equivalent water just to see the effect on taste and body. The other Woodfordes kits...

    Cyclists.

I was very careless with my words. I was thinking of the wrong side in the sense of against the traffic. I know well that in most circumstances it is better to walk against the traffic but I'm sure not mandatory. The other side might afford more safety in some circumstances. I'm also not...

    Cyclists.

Exactly Clint. If the traffic is thick, make a point of moving to the left to let them know you have seen them. Many acknowledge with a wave. In Europe they do the leg out thing. Weird!

    Cyclists.

So you were going down the wrong side of the road and... I don't want to be controversial as only you know the exact circumstances but... Was there anyway you could have moved out of her right of way?

    New Vine Co wine kits

Yes. I have the Winexpert Tempranillo just started last week so it will be bottled in 3 weeks or so. Will be interesting to compare notes.
