    Air friers and the like

Got a Ninja 9-in-one large size jobbie as a Xmas present. Brilliant device, used all its functions with mostly great results. Took great care of it. 15 months later, the convection fan went pop (literally) - out of warranty. Contacted Ninja to get it repaired, expecting I could pay for it...

    Hankering for Wheat Beer.

Brewed that 10/10/21, 2wks+2wks+4wks so far. Totally stock, as per instructions, kept temp in the 22-24C range for ester flavours. Very nice, classic wheat beer flavour, swirl around the last bit in the bottle and pour to get the proper sediment effect. Will do again, may customise with some of...

    Stout kit

Thanks for the updates, Nidger. Sounds (and looks) really decent. I have 2 (glass) bottles of my first batch left, a year old this week. Saving them until Xmas to drink with my dad (regular Guinness drinker) who I haven’t seen since Bad Stuff Happened. I noticed every aspect of it improved with...

Very cute self-contained kit brewery (not mine)

Just spotted this on eBay, and really like the way the seller has put it together. To be clear, not me selling, and no connection between me and the seller. Just thought others might like to see the approach they took...

    Stout kit

Doing two winter brews this year: MYO Irish Stout (as per instructions, i.e. just kit + 1kg brewing sugar) and Coopers Devils Half Ruby Porter (with 1kg dark DME + 250g muscovado, no brewing sugar). First time for both, so will see how it goes. Had a porter as a taste test the other day (only...

    Stout kit

Did that last autumn, and it was very good indeed. I'd say the 500g of dextrose is right; I used 1kg and it might have made it a bit thin. Did take a little while after bottling for the body to develop. Only medium spraymalt in stock at the time, so went for that (500g). Your 1kg of extra dark...

    National insurance.

PMs received with huge thanks. Just about to disappear for the weekend (family visit) but tons to unpack and chat about. See you both in the PMs. Reiterating my thanks, really appreciated.

    National insurance.

Both, I’d also be really interested in any info about emigrating to France. Lots of long-term thoughts about it. Same position here, went to school in FR and speak fluently but partner doesn’t. If there’s anything you wouldn’t mind PMing me with as well, I’d appreciate. Thanks.

Long time lurker, first time brewer

Hi, been doing this just a year myself. 12 brews in, and I'm totally hooked. If you have a handy Wilko near you, have a go at their Thirsty Devil red ale - it's lovely. See review section for my review. This forum has *tons* of useful info and helpful people sharing experience and tips.
