Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but this issue is still persistent.
Even after inkbird sent me a new unit I am still seeing temperature spikes, triggering my fridge to turn on briefly.
No longer have confidence in the product, I fear it’s going to wreck my fridge.

Just finished a brew. This is my solution, underneath all the insulation is a Fermzilla with a heat belt around it. Find it works quite well, the temperature fluctuation is marginal.
Thank you for the response. I’d just like to add myself to the list of users having exactly this issue. I have tried the probe in various places and the temp reading spikes. I’ve even noticed it when the probe is just sitting on the table. I’m worried my fridge is going to get damaged. Thanks again.
