Good shout. I also would prefer to stick to the instructions but have read reviews it lacks oak. I also read this kit takes about a year to mature. Will be testing that on at least one bottle for sure. If I may ask what is your go-to kit?

My Beaverdale Rioja kit arrives tomorrow, would you recommend using oak chips? I have a spare packet lying around...

Well I should have mentioned the volcano eruption on day 2 of fermentation maybe I lost a bottle. I’m also Probably leave A lot than I should with the sediment. Planning to get a filter though so hopefully will get to 6

Finally opened a bottle after about a 3 weeks in the bottle. Very impressed and have had a request to make more. It seemed clear at bottling but I also ended up with sediment in the bottles. I need to know how you got 6 bottles I got 4 and a bit...

It’s covid for sure. I stopped making wine in 2015 but picked it up again because I needed a lockdown hobby other than BUYING wine. Turns out I wasn’t the only one. Finished a winebuddy kit a month ago and going to sample it at the weekend. Not expecting much but needed a cheap refresher kit...
