    Old Hop Pellets

Thanks for the advice everyone. On reflection I've decided to err on the side of caution and throw them away.

    Old Hop Pellets

I have around 50g of hop pellets that have been opened and are about a year old. I have a Coopers IPA (23 litre) which has just about finished fermenting and I was wondering about adding some or all of the pellets for a couple of days. Any advice would be welcome please.

    Festival razorback ipa

Similar problem to the above but slightly different. The instructions told me to add the hop pellets after 5 days, which I did. It then says to leave the beer to ferment for a further 5 days, however, it's still fermenting away after 7 days. My question is will the hops being in there for...

    Aldi - Home Brew Kit

Thanks for your responses everyone. I tightened the yellow cap after the initial fermentation period but I guess I still need to leave it slightly loose to prevent a potentially disastrous build up of CO2. I'll keep you posted.

    Aldi - Home Brew Kit

I've started a Muntons Brew in Bag kit and everything seems to have gone according to plan. Apart from since moving it to a cooler spot in the garage it continues to ferment. American IPA

Young's APA bottled and now in the airing cupboard. Instead of using the priming sugar provided in the kit I put two Wilko carbonation drops in each bottle - I didn't want to stir in the priming sugar (as directed) and disturb the sediment in my bottling bucket. I had a sample from the...

    Show us your beer.

Drinking a B&M Tequila and Lime lager. I'm not a big fan of lager these days but bought this as it was cheap and they'd sold out of the other kits. It's crystal clear and tastes good (if you like that sort of thing). No much of a head as I poured it very gingerly to avoid sediment. Perhaps a tad...

    American IPA

Thanks for all your recommendations - I went for Young's AIPA. However, it's just arrived and I've ordered the APA in error. Is there much difference?

    B&M kits

Yes, I did the kit as per the instructions and I’m enjoying it. It doesn’t seem to be too sweet for me.
